Aubergine Seeds

It is probably not surprising that the 'eggplant' can be found in numerous shapes, sizes and colours, as throughout history it has spread across the globe and must now be one of the most widely grown vegetables. This mix is a 'potluck' from long, thin to tiny round red and green Asian varieties to large round white or purple Mediterranean types.

An Italian heirloom variety with large oval fruits up to 20cm (8in) long. The skin is a striking mix of purple and white stripes, whilst its flesh is firm and well flavoured.

Traditional, large oval to round, darkly coloured fruits with excellent flavour and texture, an essential ingredient in many Italian and Greek dishes. Best grown in a greenhouse or frame.
