After three years use I had the "wrapping around the spindle blade" problems. However I have taken it to bits today, cleaned a blockage away from below the spindle where the material is ejected and found a messy blockage. I cleared it and it is now OK again.

Be careful - lay out the bits in order when you dismantle the machine!

Similar experience, tho I had it for about 5 years before this problem. I have had it in bits and cant work out why it is just wrapping around the blades. Something has probably shifted or buckled. fantastic piece of equipment when it worked, but obviusly you have to cost in the life span when considering value for money.

I fully agree with what Anne had to say. During my third season of using this machine it stopped shredding and just wrapped the material around the cutting blade. I was unable to source any spare parts, so the whole shredder ended up going to a local landfill site. This rather defeated the object of buying a shredder in the first place. I estimate that in three years it actually had less than twenty hours of use. Hardly good value for money. Brian.

This is an excellent machine - however when I used it 2-years and 3 months after purchase it wrapped the material around the spindle it is very difficult to get the branches out, and I am told I can not buy replacement parts. So, in my experience it lasts just as long as the guarantee and not much longer. But it is good at first but the fault makes it expensive.
