I bought this product mainly for trimming around a long row of new hedge plants and it has come up to my expectations. It copes well with long tough grass and is ideal for getting up really close to the plants. I have, of course, found that I use it in various other awkward-to-get-at places in the garden. Battery life is about 40 minutes which I find quite sufficient. In all I think it is a good quality product at a reasonable price. A word of warning though, I can see that, in a lapse of concentration, it would be very easy to get your other hand in the way of the blades and so sustain serious injury.
