Had previous shredders before, this is a dream, the others you had to PUSH the stuff through, this drags it and is great! Couldn't recommend it enough. The freebie lopper is awesome too! Not so good once it hits greeen material and often have to take a second shot at this. Alternatively, leave branches to dry out a bit & it works better. Also can't cope too well with awkward twisted brances and knotted wood so be prepared to use the cutters! All told though, pleased with purchase. It does an excellent job of everything except the long pieces of a cut back clematis, which was a bit much to expect anyway. It is so quiet that it can be used inside the toolshed on a wet day, so that work can still be carried on. I am delighted with it. Collection box needs shaking frequently otherwise there is a build-up under the chute which blocks the system. Otherwise good. Need to feed slowly tangly things like brambles, ivy and wait for them to clear blades before adding more else it blocks. They also tend to block exit chute. Good on woody prunings.Need to keep tipping backwards to evenly distribute shredded stuff in collection box. Thicker bits tend to wedge between blades occasionally. Works OK but advertising claims a little optimistic particularly as regards stringy materials.
