A popular variety for early crops producing pointed heads with a wonderful flavour.
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors February. For early crops sow seeds 1.5cm deep in trays of moist compost, be careful not to over-water. Store in a glasshouse at an approx temperature of 10-15 degrees C (50-60 degrees F).
Sow outdoors March - July. Sow seeds thinly 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 18" (45cm) apart.
Growing Instructions
Ideal for successional sowing. Keep well watered in dry conditions. Feed with a liquid fertiliser.
Harvesting Instructions
June onwards.
