A chimenea is a free-standing, front loading outdoor fireplace or oven.  Originating in 17th century  Mexico chimeneas were originally forged from clay and were primarily used to bake bread. The chimenea has evolved and they are now available in a variety of materials including Cast Iron, Clay and Steel.
