The pure white, deep curds of Cauliflower Cavolfiore Palla di Neve will stand in good condition if foliage is bent over the curds during sunny weather.
Sowing Instructions
Sow seeds thinly 13mm deep in a well-prepared seedbed, in May and June for autumn harvest. Keep well watered, seedlings must not dry out.
Growing Instructions
After 6 weeks transplant into well-prepared soil containing well rotted farmyard manure or compost. The soil should be level, firm and free of weeds. Plants should be planted with a dibber, setting them 70cm apart each way, firming the soil well around the plants and generously watering in. During periods of intense sunlight, protection can be given by bending foliage over the curds, to ensure whiteness. An application of a handful of general fertiliser per plant can be beneficial during growing season
