Lava Stones are lightweight volcanic stone with excellent insulation properties for use in the base of chimeneas and firebowls to protect from the hottest part of the fire.

Simply place a layer of lava rock in the base of chimenea or firebowl and this will help protect it from cracking and thermal shock.
