A reliable, medium sized 'butterhead' variety. Compact and slow to bolt, long season.
Sowing Instructions
Sow outdoors, March to August.
In a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 25cm (10") apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm (0.5") of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-14 days. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks.
Care Instructions
When large enough, thin to 20cm (8") apart. Keep moist and weed free at all times. Protect early sowings with cloches, and later sowings to over winter.
Harvesting Instructions
May to October. April to May from August sowings. For maximum 'freshness' cut lettuces in the morning or evening.
