A delicious early variety good as 'finger' carrots. The blunt-ended roots have an outstanding flavour.
Sowing Instructions
Sow outdoors, March to July.
In a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 25cm (10") apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm (0.5") of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-21 days. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks.
Care Instructions
When harvesting, select young carrots alternately from the row leaving approx 5cm (2") between roots to allow the remainder to develop fully. No other thinning is needed if sown thinly. Keep well watered to prevent the roots splitting. Keep weed free at all times. Protect early sowings with cloches.
Harvesting Instructions
May to October. Harvest first carrots when finger sized and sweet and succulent.
