An attractive and great tasting variety producing large crops of fruit which are best picked when 10-15cm long.
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors, March to May. Outdoors, May or April under cloches.
Indoors, in pots of seed compost. Sow singularly into a pot edgeways into the compost. Cover with 1.5cm (0.5") of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with clear glass or polythene. Keep at approx 15-18 degrees C (60-65 degrees F). Seedlings appear 7-14 days.
Outdoors, in a well prepared seed bed. Sow 2 seeds per position, 60cm (2ft) apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm (0.5") of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care Instructions
Indoors, remove cover when seedlings appear. At 5-6 leaf stage, stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 60cm (2ft) apart in growing position.
Outdoors, thin to one seedling per position.
Harvesting Instructions
July to October. Pick regularly to encourage cropping. Plant out under cloches in late April for fruit in June.
