A superb, tasty, straight-fruited slicing cucumber with excellent resistance to powdery and downy mildew. Ideal for culture in pots and grow bags. Outdoor ridge type.
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors, February to April. Outdoors, April to May.
Indoors, in 7.5cm (3") pots of seed compost. Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx 20-24 degrees C (68-75 degrees F).
Outdoors, in a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows of 30cm (12") apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-21 days.
Care Instructions
Indoors, remove cover when seedlings appear. Grow at approx 15 degrees C (60 degrees F). When large enough transplant singularly to 7.5cm (3") pots. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 25cm (10") apart in growing position.
Outdoors, when large enough thin to 25cm (10") apart. Keep moist and weed free.
Harvesting Instructions
June to October. Pick young cues regularly to encourage regular cropping.
