Sowing Instructions
Sow outdoors, April to July.
In a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 30cm (12") apart. Cover lightly with 2.5cm (1") of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-21 days. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks.
Care Instructions
When large enough thin to 10cm (4") apart. Keep moist and weed free. Pull when roots are 5-7cm (2-3") in diameter.
Harvesting Instructions
June to October, twist the tops off as this prevents 'bleeding'. For baby beet, harvest when they are about golf ball size.
