An attractive and great tasting variety producing large crops of fruit which are best picked when 10-15cm long.

Spherical, dark green glossy fruits with a firm texture and good flavour. The plants are large and very prolific. Round courgettes are very popular in Italy as they are often cooked and stuffed with meat or aubergines and tomatoes.

The cocozelle has a dark green skin which produces pronounced lighter stripes along its length. The heirloom variety is said to have an excellent 'old fashioned' flavour although that could be difficult to prove we say that the taste is very good and the flesh firm. It can be harvested up to 20cm (8in) long.

Very attractive fruits with raised green ridges. They have a distinct, almost nutty flavour and firm texture, which some say is the best of all courgettes.

Courgette Venus produces neatly compact plants which will produce a heavy crop of shiny, dark green cylindrical fruits throughout Summer. Will produce over an impressively long season if harvested regularly. Harvest from June to frosts, protect with cloches to extend the season.
