Early ballhead summer cabbage with good resistance against bolting. Delicious boiled, steamed or shredded raw into salads.
Sowing Instructions
Mid February in pots or trays under glass, then transplant outdoors for earliest heads in June. Alternatively sow outdoors from mid March to end of May, thinly in a prepared seedbed, 13mm deep.
Growing Instructions
Transplant when large enough to handle, about 5 weeks from sowing, in to well prepared soil in a sunny spot, allowing 38cm each way between plants. Plant firmly and water in. Compact plants allow closer spacings and less wasted outer leaves.
Harvesting Instructions
About 60 days from transplanting. Later sowing from end of May will produce quality heads to October.
