Al-Ko Garden Lawn Roller with pressure tested metal roller that can be easily filled with sand or water and has a generous 50cm working width. For successful rolling of your lawn.

The weight when filled with sand is 120kg and when filled with water is 72kg.

In order to increase germination, newly sown grass and other seeds should always be pressed into the soil. Pressing seeds well down into the soil after sowing makes them safe and secure. Preventing them from being blown away or eaten by birds.

The AL-KO Garden Roller can be easily filled with sand or water and has a generous 50cm working width. For successful rolling of your lawn.

They should supply a simple funnel to fit the filler. Only fill with kiln dried sand or water. Otherwise a very good product.

I used 50Kg of kiln dried sand;this fine sand makes it easier to load into drum.It does,nt fill the drum,if it was filled it would be too heavy to manouvre.Only downside is that the wife cannot manage it!

Brilliant! Delivered really quickly. Filled with sand so nice and heavy (ensure you use dry sand!) Works perfectly, just the tool for flattening out new soil for grass seed too.

Very slow to fill with sand, and needs to be full to roll properly. Handle not very strong and has already bent and broken. Overall not very pleased

I bought this roller to try and flatten out bumps in my lawn and it has done a reasonable job of it. There is a welding seam around the roller which might be a problem for some but not for me. I used kiln dried sand about half way full and this seemed quite heavy enough. All in all a good product that I am pleased with.
