This hedgehog house has an extendable, predator defence tunnel at the entrance that provides suitable protection from all natural predators. It also has no base and is ideal for covering so will provide a natural and safe habitat for hedgehogs.

It is always advisable to cover a hedgehog houses with leaves, twigs and straw to insulate the hibernating hedgehog, always keep the entrance clear to help entice a hedgehog into your house.

I bought the hazel roof version of this item (no longer available), otherwise they are identical. Its a fantastic hodgehog house. Very well built, solid material and a nice simple design. Within 2 days of placing the house in our garden we had a hedgehog in it (I fitted a mini video camera in it to monitor what was happening) and the same hog moved in within 2 weeks and is now hibernating in it. Pre-hibernation the hedgehog was 525g close to the ideal weight and size for hibernation, so theres no worries about the hog fitting through the tunnel. At this price you cannot buy better.
