Product Information
A flatter-rooted beet, growing mainly above the soil surface, with smooth skinned, with a deep red, tender and flavoursome flesh. Excellent and traditionally sown for an earlier crop in frames, but is ideal for sowing in succession outdoors throughout the season. Stores well for use during the winter.
Sowing Instructions
Sow March, in frames, April - July outdoors. Sow thinly 1cm deep in drills 30cm apart.
Growing Instructions
 | Thin seedlings to 3-5cm apart when large enough to handle. Harvest when roots reach about 4cm in diameter or more when they are delicious raw. Beet can be stored by lifting the roots from later sowings, twist off the tops and store in boxes of slightly damp sand in frost-free conditions. |
Crop
June to October
Serving Suggestion
