Product Information
A Thompson & Morgan reintroduction from 30 years ago. A real eye-catcher. A decorative plant for the vegetable plot as well as the flower bed. Very early to mature and will continue to set pods profusely throughout the summer. The delicious pods turn an appetising green colour when steamed.
Sowing Instructions
Sow mid April indoors, late April to July outdoors. Sow seed 5cm (2in) deep in 7-5cm (3in) pots or trays of good, free-draining, seed sowing mix. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a plastic bag and place at 18-20C (64-68F) until after germination which takes 7-10 days. Can also be sown direct outdoors once the soil has warmed, sow 15cm (6in) apart 6cm (2in) deep and in rows 45cm (18in) apart.
Growing Instructions
 | Gradually acclimatise indoor sown plants to outdoor conditions for 7-10 days before planting out after all risk of frost, against canes or netting. Hoe regularly and keep well watered. Mulch during dry periods. |
