handcrafted wellies that are made from natural rubber rather
than Polyvinyl Acetate or similar cheap materials that will
degrade quickly either through the effect of UV light, cold
temperature or frequent wear.
They both offer extremely high quality wellington boots and
offer a variety of styles, colours, soles and also linings. Each
pair is listed with both uk and european sizes.
Linings ExplainedLeather - Le Chameau
leather is a thick and supple full-grain calf leather. It
encloses the foot completely for superior comfort. A
leather-lined boot is tough, hardwearing and easy to put on.
Treated to resist dampness, leather remains supple even when in
contact with water. Leather is truely a 4 seasons lining.
Neoprene - Neoprene has excellent insulating properties. It
is used to make diving suits and prevents the wearer's body heat
from dissipating. Jersey - The Jersey lining is a mesh
made from 50% acrylic and 50% cotton. It is stretchy just like
rubber has elastic properties. Using a combination of rubber and
jersey the boot can be moulded to fit the foot exactly,
following even the smallest foot movements. Jersey is a
mid-season lining. Outlast by Le Chameau - Its phase change
microcapsules change from the solid to liquid state according to
the variations in body temperature. When the body temperature
falls, Outlast emits heat and conversely when the body
temperature rises the microcapsules absorb the excess heat.
