An old favourite, easy to grow and very versatile. The long thick stems and broad leaves are great on their own or in stews and casseroles. Rich in vitamin A.
Sowing Instructions
Sow outdoors March _ April. Sow seeds thinly 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed in rows 12" (30cm) apart. Keep the soil moist and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 4" (10cm) apart.
Growing Instructions
Keep well watered in dry conditions. Feed with a liquid fertiliser.
Harvesting Instructions
October onwards.
