The Woodsman 10 by Mighty Mac is a commercial heavy duty chipper and shredder but still compact enough to fit through a garden gate. The Woodsman 10 has a 10hp briggs & stratton 4 stroke petrol engine.

This shredder has a near 3 inch (73mm) chipping capacity, for a larger cutting capacity take a look at the Woodman Pro.

Having assembled this product, with the aid of imperial sockets!! I tackled the first job which proved to be more taxing than expected. The chipper feed would only take straight branches (how many plants grow with those)and the shredder struggled with anything but small twigs. The second task was to shred Leylandii prunnings to small to feed into the chipper. Within the first few handfulls, fed in gently, the outlet became clogged. 20 mins to unblock. After an other attempt the same result.The manufactures instruction suggest not to put to much green material through at one time. So should i carry bags of twiggs around all the time or should the design short commings be addressed???
