Product Information

New to Smart Solar's 2010 range, this high performance air pump powered by solar energy oxygenates medium to large sized ponds. Utilises sunlight during the day to charge the battery and uses battery power at night to oxygenate the pond when needed most. Air pump suitable for small to medium sized ponds (up to 5000 litres). 2 air-stones with 6.5ft : 2m long tubes.

2 operation modes –
Daytime operation – particularly suitable for ponds with no oxygenating plants.
Night operation – suitable for ponds with oxygenating plants. Provides more oxygenation in hotter, sunnier conditions when it is needed most. Powered by a separate solar panel (supplied). Battery for night operation or to provide more consistent daytime performance. 10ft : 3m cable to solar panel. No wiring, simply install and enjoy. Air flow rate 180 l/h. No operating costs.

Very pleased with this much improved new version. I have beein using it in "day" mode and even with some cloudcover the airpump still works well. The instruction booklet also tells you of some adjustments you can make to the bellows if necessary - I had a problem with these on the last model but didn't know how to fix them.

I have found that this seems to work for me even if there has been some cloud cover during the day. I have been very impressed so far.
