Product Information
Introduced in the USA in the 1940's. Great mild taste with golden roots that can be lifted as baby beets, making an attractive addition to mixed salads, or left to mature. The orange roots turn a lovely golden colour when cooked.
Sowing Instructions
Sow outdoors, April to July. Thinly where they are to crop, 2.5cm (1") deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 30cm (12") between rows. Seedlings usually appear in 7-21 days. Thin seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Water well until plants are established. Regular sowings made every 3 weeks should ensure a continuous supply of young beets. Harvest roots can be stored in dry sand for winter use.
