A high quality, 'synergistic' type naturally bred to give exceptionally sweet and mouth-wateringly tender kernels. Drenched in butter, the large creamy white cobs are perfect for long term storage, retaining much of the sweetness and flavour.
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors, March to May. A warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow 1.5cm (0.5") deep in pots of compost. Keep warm and moist. A temperature of 15-20 degrees C (60-28 degrees F) is ideal. Seedlings appear in 7-21 days. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts) before planting out, when frosts are over. Plant in blocks and allow 40cm (16") both ways between plants, disturbing roots as little as possible.
Outdoors, May. 1.5cm (0.5") deep, 2 seeds together at 40cm (16") intervals in block formation. Sowings may benefit from cloche protection if temperatures drop. Thin to the stronger seedling when large enough to handle.
