Product Information
A traditional type of large Chinese radish, popularly used in oriental stir-fries and salads. It is known in China as the 'Beauty Heart' Radish because of its attractive pink flesh which has a sweet, slightly nutty taste. Unusually the flavour becomes more delicate as the roots mature.
Sowing Instructions
Sow outdoors, June to April. Thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm (0.5") deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 23cm (9") between rows. Seedlings usually appear within 7-14 days. Water well until plants are established. Thin August to September only if plants are overcrowded. Keep moist as dry conditions may cause tough roots. Lift November and store in a cool, airy place.
