Product Information
For those who like it hot, this unusual cress will add a great flavoured kick to mixed salads. It has attractive spoonshaped leaves with a crinkled surface and edges, making it ideal for garnish. It can be grown indoors all year round or outside in summer for larger, hotter leaves.
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors, all year round. By sprinkling seed on moist kitchen roll, cotton wool or a thin layer of seed compost. Cover with kitchen roll until seeds start to germinate, then remove. Keep moist, do not allow to dry out. Cut with scissors when about 5cm (2") high. Sowing to harvest takes up to 14 days. Regular sowings made every 2 weeks will ensure a continuous supply.
Sow outdoors, March to October. Thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm (0.5") deep, directly into prepared soil which has already been watered, allow 15cm (6") between rows or sow thinly direct into 25cm (10") pots. No further thinning is necessary. Pick a few leaves from each plant when approx 8cm (3") high, they will regrow for up to '4 cuts'.
