Product Information

Superior China Asters developed for wilt resistance, which bloom over a long season. Ideal for late summer drifts in the border and show stopping cut flowers.

Sowing Instructions

Sow indoors, February to April, in trays of seed compost. Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm (0.25") of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid and keep at approx 15-20 degrees C (60-68 degrees F). Seedlings appear in 14-21 days.
Sow outdoors, April to May, in a prepared seed bed and in flowering position. Sow thinly in rows 20cm (8") apart. Cover with 0.5cm (0.25") of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.

Care Instructions

For indoor sowing, remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm (2") apart in trays. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 20cm (8") apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free.
For outdoor sowing, when large enough thin to 20cm (8") apart.

Flowers

July to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering.
