Product Information
Widely grown in the past for its medical properties, when grown in the herbaceous border the pale pink lightly scented flowers will attract butterflies and bees to the garden.
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors February to April, in trays of moist compost. Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid and keep at approx 15-20 degrees C (60-68 degrees F). Seedlings appear in 14-28 days.
Sow outdoors, May to July, in a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 30cm (12") apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care Instructions
For indoor sowing, remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm (2") apart in trays. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 20cm (8") apart in flowering position.
For outdoor sowing, transplant 20cm (8") apart in flowering position in September to October. Keep moist and weed free.
