Product Information
Classic 'Italian' tomato, with attractive cylindrical fruit and firm flesh, perfect for sauces, cooked dishes and salads. Has good disease resistance. Indeterminate, (needs support) and can be grown indoors or outside.
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors, January to March for greenhouse crops, March to April for outdoor crops. Sow in pots or trays of compost thinly and cover with a thin layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or a propagator lid. Keep at approx 15-20 degrees C (60-68 degrees F). SSedlings usually appear in 7-14 days.
Care Instructions
Remove cover when seedlings appear. When plants reach a height of 10cm (4") transplant to individual pots. Grow on at approx 15 degrees C (60 degrees F). For greenhouse crops, transplant to growing position in grow bags or large pots in the greenhouse in April or May. For outdoor crops, stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant to a sunny spot outside. Pinch out side shoots regularly and growing tips once 5-6 trusses have set. Provide support with canes where necessary and keep moist and weed free.
Harvesting Instructions
June to October, outdoor crops from August.
