Product Information
This variety is an 'extra tender' type which means it makes great eating with sweet, juicy, tender kernels which fill the cobs. For the very best corn always pick just before you want to eat it.
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors, March to May. In 7.5cm (3") pots of seed compost. Sow singly and cover with 1.5cm (0.5") of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid and keep at approx 15 degrees C (60 degrees F).
Sow outdoors, May. In a prepared seed bed, in the growing position. Sow 1-2 seeds together with 40cm (16") between stations, cover with 1.5cm (0.5") of fine soil. Firm gently.
Care Instructions
For indoor sowing remove cover when seedlings appear. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 35cm (14") apart in each direction, in squares to help pollination. Keep well watered particularly at flowering time.
For outdoor sowing, thin to 1 strong seedling per group. Keep moist and weed free.
Harvesting Instructions
August to October.
