Product Information
Easy to grow, large oriental radish. The succulent white roots, 30cm (12in) long or more, have a crisp texture and mild flavour. Traditionally used in stir-fries and pickled, it is also great in salads.
Sowing Instructions
Sow outdoors, May to August, in a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 30cm (12") apart. Cover lightly with 2.5cm (1") of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care Instructions
When large enough thin to 15cm (6") apart. Keep moist, dry conditions may cause 'tougher' roots. Protect early sowings with cloches in cold weather.
Harvesting Instructions
August to November. Harvest alternate roots to allow others to mature. Cloche protection in autumn can extend the harvest period.
