Product Information
Very attractive fruits with raised green ridges. They have a distinct, almost nutty flavour and firm texture, which some say is the best of all courgettes.
Sowing Instructions
Sow indoors, March to May, in pots of seed compost. Sow singly into a pot edgeways into the compost. Cover with 1.5cm (0.5") of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with clear glass or polythene. Keep at approx 15-18 degrees C (60-65 degrees F).
Sow outdoors, May to June, in a well prepared seed bed. Sow 2 seeds per position, 60cm (2ft) apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm (0.5") of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care Instructions
For indoor sowing, remove cover when seedlings appear. At 5-6 leaf stage, stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 60cm (2ft) apart in growing position.
For outdoor sowing, thin to 1 seedling per position.
Harvesting Instructions
July to October. Pick regularly to encourage cropping.
