Hozelock Water Timer Maintenance (Sensor and Select models)

In order to prolong the life of your Hozelock Water Timer, it is important to maintain the batteries, and carry out winter maintenance; this post will show you how.
Batteries
You must use Alkaline or Lithium batteries – alternatives will result in incorrect operation. Rechargeable batteries must not be used. The LED will flash a red colour when you need to replace the batteries. Replace batteries each season (maximum 12 months use).When changing the batteries, remove the old ones then wait 20 seconds before putting the new batteries in.
Winter
These products are not designed to be used in subzero (frost) temperatures. During winter months, drain any remaining water out of your timer and bring it indoors until the next watering season.
