Product Description

This is for top quality, certified and fully plant passported, field grown Green Copper Beech (Fagus Sylvatica) hedging plants with a choice of heights.

Green Beech is one of the best choices for a hedge. It grows very densely, especially if trimmed regularly. The leaves come out a vibrant green and turn a brilliant gold in the autumn. The bonus is that they stay on in the winter as brown or 'copper' leaves giving some screening and protection all year round and are often referred to as semi evergreen.

They are much more wildlife friendly than pure evergreen hedges and you will have birds nesting in them during the summer months. If you don't trim them in the Spring they will form Beech nuts in the Autumn.

They will grow in most soil types and in full sun or partial shade which is one of the reasons why they are so popular.

For best results use Rootgrow before planting - it can increase the rate of growth by up to 50% - just contact us if you're not sure how much you need!

Plant in a single or staggered row at the rate of 4-5 per metre - just order the number of packs you need for the hedge length you are after!

If you are not sure which size to go for or how many you need please just contact us anytime for friendly advice on designing and planting a hedge - we will also e-mail you our very popular Free Guide to Hedges which has all the information you will need to plant and look after your hedge.

Available from the end of October to the end of April!
