Holly Hedging Plants make a beautiful stand-alone tree, a superb single species hedge and a lovely addition to a mixed hedgerow. Deep green shiny and very prickly leaves are evergreen. White flowers in the spring are followed by bright red berries in the winter but only on the female plants so if you want some berries, it's a good idea to buy a few plants.

Holly provides a great habitat for garden insects and birds so is super wildlife friendly. It is fairly slow growing (20 - 30cm per year) and will tolerate shady conditions quite happily.

Holly is extremely wildlife friendly. Providing not just habitat and shelter, but a food source in Autumn in the form of berries. Holly makes a super addition to a native wildlife hedge - simply mix in with other native species.

Simply choose the height of the plants you want to plant now and the number of plants you need.

We recommend 5 plants per metre in a double zig-zag row for a thick hedge, but you can get away with 3-4 per metre in a staggered row if you don't mind waiting an extra year or two to form a thick hedge.

Keep them well watered - especially in the Spring and Summer in the first year of planting. If you are not sure how many plants you need or which varieties suit your garden please just contact or call us and we will be happy to offer friendly advice.
